Keeping my body fit

Rants

I am fat, really fat. Picture this, an Asian dude, 168cm tall, and weighs a whopping 84.6kg, that's how big of a guy I am. But on the outside, I don't look fat at all, because most of my fat are internal, around the organs and my belly. I have high blood pressure and fatty liver under the age of 30.

A few years ago, I think 5-6 years ago, I had a full body checkup and discovered that some of the indexes are too high, namely Triglycerides, my blood pressure and other things. Ultrasonic scan also discovered I had fatty liver. But I shrugged it off at the time, unwilling to make meaningful changes.

Now in recent years, I find out that I had heartaches periodically. It is not as painful as stubbing your toes. It is the feeling that something is blocked in the chest, it eventually go away usually, but it feels uncomfortable. Then add to that I snore very loud when asleep, which is an indication of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, of which one of the reason is obesity.

Recently I decided I slacked too much, if I want to live past 30, I have to make some damn changes to my lifestyle. I decided to start losing weight progressively. First, I started cooking my own meals, and when I can't, I buy lighter meals. No McDonalds, no chips, no cakes. Just real, non-ultra processed food. Then I devised a plan to lose weight while keeping my lazy ass at home: Day 1 Low-Impact HIIT, Day 2 Full Body Weight Training, Day 3 Rest. And I repeat that daily.

I am not sure how well I'd do, but I can say that I feel the difficulty to catch up. Every time I finish a session, I sweat a lot and can barely hold my breath. Every inch of muscle I worked feel like they are going to give up anytime, tired but not in pain.

Why did I want to make such a change all of a sudden? I guess it has to do with me having a slight crush on a colleague. But I understand well that it can be the fuel, but it should never be the goal. My goal is, and will always be, to be a healthy dude again, and to live past 30.
